Ura Zuveh Foundation Celebrates International Day for Older Persons 2024 at Chesezu Village,  Phek

Ura Zuveh Foundation celebrated the International Day for Older Persons under the theme “Aging with Dignity” at Chesezu Village in Phek District. The event focused on the importance of caring for and respecting elderly members of the community, emphasizing their valuable role in society. 

Keynote address was delivered by Vesezo Ringa, who highlighted the significance of observing such occasions. Ringa shared insights into the crucial role elders play in passing down wisdom and tradition and the need for families and society to provide them with care, respect, and support. 

One of the highlights of the event was the opportunity given to elderly participants to share their views and opinions.

The event was chaired by Nusakho Nyekha,, while Pastor of CRC Chesezu Vetanyi Nienu offered prayers for blessings. The program also featured a special presentation by Vesukho Swuro, showcasing the organization’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for senior citizens. The event concluded with a closing prayer by Puswuyi Nyekha, Deacon of NCRC Chesezu. 

The celebration served as a reminder of the collective responsibility to honor older generations and ensure their well-being and dignity as they age.
